NSA provides programs for sheriffs, their deputies, chiefs of police, and other criminal justice professionals to perform their jobs in the best possible manner and to better promote homeland security and public safety in their jurisdiction.

	CRI-TAC The Collaborative Reform Initiative for Technical Assistance Center (CRI-TAC) program provides critical and tailored technical assistance resources to state, local, territorial, and tribal law enforcement agencies on a wide variety of topics.

	Government Affairs Since its founding in 1940, the National Sheriffs' Association (NSA) has been the one voice of the nation's sheriffs in Washington, DC.
	Inmate Health Care and Recidivism Joint Task Force In March 2019, NSA and NaCO formed a joint task force to reduce jail inmate recidivism through continuity of health care services.
	Mental Health Initiative Law enforcement officers typically serve as first responders to the mental health crisis due to the lack of mental health services across the United States.
	National Association of Triads Triad works to reduce criminal victimization of older persons; improving quality of life for older adults; educating and involving the community in implementing solutions; and enhancing delivery of law enforcement services to the elderly.
