Note: All Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. Member dues are paid annually.

ACTIVE MEMBERS

All Active Members receive these benefits:

Sheriff membership is open to sworn sheriffs in the United States.

• Dues vary by county population.
  Dues are:
  Sheriff with county population of 500,000 or more = $2,000
  Sheriff with county population of 250,000– 499,999 = $1,000
  Sheriff with county population of 100,000–249,999 = $500
  Sheriff with county population of 10,000–99,999 = $250
  Sheriff with county population of less than 10,000 = $125
   

Chief of Police membership is open to chiefs, superintendents of police as well as command-level officers.

• Dues: $99
   

Executive/Agency Director membership is open to civilians in command level positions such as CEO, President, VP, Director, Deputy Director. 

• Dues: $99
   

Active Other membership is open to all sworn law enforcement and civilians not in a leadership position mentioned in a category above. 

• Dues: $99
   

AUXILIARY AND OTHER MEMBERS

Auxiliary membership is open to non-command level officers and civilians. Auxiliary members enjoy the same benefits as Active members, except they do not have the right to vote.

• Dues: $49
   

Student membership is open to students currently enrolled in a criminal justice or related discipline not currently employed in a full time position. Student members enjoy the same benefits as Auxiliary members.

• Dues: $49

SUPPORTING MEMBERS

Retired Law Enforcement. This category is open to all retired law enforcement. Retired Law Enforcement members enjoy the same benefits as Auxiliary members, except they receive the Sheriff & Deputy magazine via online subscription only.

• Dues: $39

Citizen Member. This category is open to anyone who supports law enforcement. Citizen members enjoy the same benefits as Auxiliary members, except they receive the Sheriff & Deputy magazine via online subscription only.

• Dues: $39

Global Society of Homeland and National Security Professionals. Our GSHNSP members include all who provide a key role in the protection of people, critical infrastructure and key resources against attacks that emanate from within or outside our borders. Members represent every discipline involving prevention, protection, preparedness and response, which are vital to our missions of Homeland and National Security. Learn more >>>

​National Neighborhood Watch. NNW members are vested in the security of their communities and the prevention of crime. NNW promotes the establishment of ongoing local neighborhood watch groups that encourage citizens to partner with local law enforcement agencies in an effort to reduce crime in their neighborhoods.
