NSA Calls For National Week of Mourning

The National Sheriffs’ Association is calling for a National Week of Mourning beginning today in the wake of the senseless murders of law enforcement officers in Dallas today. We are asking for all law enforcement officers, agencies, and associations nationwide to join us and show your support by displaying a black band over your badges until Friday, July 15, 2016.

Additionally, we are asking all law enforcement agencies and individuals to display the Thin Blue Line Memorial logo on your social media site. The logo can be copied from the NSA Facebook site.

Today, we witnessed another sobering reminder that the men and women in law enforcement put their lives on the line every day to protect our citizens.

We applaud President Obama for ordering all flags to be flown at half-mast and we ask all law enforcement agencies, organizations and personnel to join us in this very important endeavor.
