Larimer County Sheriff’s Office rescues couple trapped in the snow 2 days

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office rescued a man and woman who were trapped in the snow for two days when their pickup truck got stuck on County Road 80C.

The Sheriff’s Office received a call about the incident on Tuesday morning, and were told that the truck had been stuck since Sunday and that the man had left the truck on Monday to get help but had not returned, according to a press release.

Deputies began searching the area for the couple with a Snowcat and a UCHealth Lifeline helicopter. The helicopter located the truck at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday on County Road 80C east of Eaton Reservoir. The woman was inside and did not need medical attention, the release said.
